DISTANS ("distance" in Haitian Kreyol) offers resources for multilingual students and their families and teachers navigating distance-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The site was created by Associate Professor Elaine Allard and her students from Swarthmore College during the Spring of 2020. Graphic design by Sonia Shah. 

DISTANS is also an initiative of the Philadelphia Multilingual Teaching & Research Collaborative (MTRC Philly), a research group focused on collaborating with teachers to improve education for immigrant & multilingual students in Philadelphia high schools.
